Hello...anyone out there?

I know right....its been over a year. Things have been insanely busy needless to say. I miss my blog and really want to get back to it.
I have some very exciting news on the crafting front. I won't keep you in suspense so I will just spill it now.
I'm getting my craft room!
Not just a corner or a closet and entire craft room. Can you hear the angles sing?! I'm beyond excited.
Of course this is going to take some time to get in order, lots of moving around, but all in all its going to be good for everyone. I'll be posting pictures of the progress.
On a separate note, some of you may have noticed I'm no longer a SU! demo, just couldn't do it anymore. Love the products still and love to create, so you will still see SU! here and much more.

I Pledge....

Hi Everyone.....

I'm pledging to do this. This is not an easy thing to do, not necessarily texting, but using the phone in general. But you know what, I want to be here for my family and friends and I certainly don't want to take anyone's life. What did we do without cell phones before....we survived. How hard can it be to just wait till your car is in park. Let all do this!

I personally know Kristin and I can't imagine how difficult this time has been for her. I pray that none of us have to experience what she has gone through.

Be safe and God bless us all!

Riverdance

I was fortunate enough last night to attend a performance of Riverdance with my family. Can I just say, "WOW!". The music, the singing, and of course the dancing....just amazing. This is the farewell tour. So, if they are coming to a theatre near you I highly recommend seeing them.

Stay tuned....

I will be posting several new projects in the coming weeks. I'm working on teacher gifts, coworker gifts and lots of other fun things.

I'm also anxiously awaiting my copy of MDS (My Digital Studio) to arrive. It should be here on Friday. I have several projects planned that I will be using it for, my blog, Christmas cards, birthday invitations, and a couple of showers.

I have my Hostess Club Make and Take coming up next week so I'll be posting those cards soon as well.

Hope everyone is having a great Fall....I can't believe its already November. The weather has been great here this past week. I know that its a welcome change to all the rain we've received recently. I guess we were making up for the lack of it this summer.

Happy Wednesday!

I'm inspired

Lately I've been feeling overwhelmed. My full time job is consuming my days so much that I'm just worn out by 5:00. I have almost no energy to do anything but fix dinner for my family, play with my girls and head to bead. I'm sure you've noticed that the blog post have been pretty scarce.

Well I just got back from Canton today. I've mentioned Canton before, see this post. I went with my friends Jennie and Emily and met my BF Aimee there. I love Canton, the new, the old, the junk. I'm renewed, I'm inspired. I'm already planning my next trip.

I visited some of my favorite spots and found new ones. One of my favorite stops is LaurieAnna's. She has a new store and I had to stop off at it. It was just like the booth at Trade Days, crammed full of great stuff. Checking out her website I've come across some new blogs in the process and wanted to share them you.

Look what I got!

Aren't these beautiful?! My husband gave me these (yellow is my favorite color of roses) for my birthday....which is Monday! I'm getting to do one of my favorite things, but don't get to get to do very often....go to the movies! We are going to see The Proposal today and The Ugly Truth on Monday night. Kind of chic flickish, but he's cool with that....that's why I love him! We are also having fajitas with the family this evening after movie #1....yum!

Pampered Chef Rice Cooker

Hey everyone!

Just a little product plug today. A few weeks back I hosted a Pampered Chef party. One of my free items I selected was the rice cooker. Let me just tell ya....it's awesome. You use it in the microwave. No cords and super easy to clean...you can put it in the dishwasher! Anyway, if you are in the market for a rice cooker, I recommend this one.

Trip to Louisiana

This weekend the family made a road trip to Louisiana. As I've mentioned before my mom is from South Louisiana and so we went for a visit. This was B's first road trip and S's second trip to Louisiana. First I want to say I am so proud of my girls, they were awesome. Of course I didn't expect B to not cry, but she didn't and S was so great. It takes about 5 1/2 hours to get there with out the 5 or 6 stops that are required with children. For us the trip there was about 7 and the trip back was only 6 (fewer stops, a couple of people were sleeping :).

We had a wonderful time. Saturday we were able to stop off at Avery Island and go to the Tabasco Country Store to do some shopping, visit my grandparents', great-grandparents', great aunt's and brother's graves (this is a very important part of every trip me make), hang out with my cousins and eat, eat, eat. Today we had breakfast at this great restaurant called Cafe Des Amis....delicious, its in Breaux Bridge....great town. If you can go on a Saturday there is a live band that plays Zydeco music, loud but fun.

BTW...my gal S either won't smile or look directly at the camera, but you can count on a goofy face. Oh, and B was sleeping during most of the pictures, that's why she's not seen here.

Updates to B's Room

Once B arrived I was able to add somethings to her room to make it more girly. So I ordered the Seeing Spots Decor Elements to add to the walls. I wasn't a fan of the big dot, so I ran it threw my Big shot with the letter B die. I think it turned out great.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers, soon to be mothers, sisters, aunts and any anyone else that "mothers" somebody they love.

I want to especially wish my mother Happy Mother's Day. She won't read this, but I put something very similar in her card. My mother is very special to me. As I'm sure all your mother's our to you. She is ALWAYS there. I call and she comes, I cry and she comforts. She is the best mother anyone could ask for. She loves unconditionally. She helps me with my daughters and I don't know what I'd do without her. I love you mom. Thank you! I hope I can be as good a mother as you have been to me.

Quick Thank You's

Here are some more quick thank you's. I really did not expect people to be so generous with my second child. However, I know that when it comes to baby clothes its hard for me to resists. So any excuse to shop for them, I'm game. We also had B baptized this past Sunday, so there were more thank you's to write for that.

Lots going on this weekend, well all month. This weekend we will be celebrating my dad's 80th birthday. He doesn't turn 80 until the end of the month, but its so close to Memorial Day weekend this was the best time to have it. My nephew will also be confirmed at our church on Sunday and of course its Mother's Day on Sunday too. The whole family will be going to brunch on Sunday morning. It should be a lot of fun.

Have a great weekend!

Who knew.....

.....a little green button could cause so much trouble. After a somewhat stressful day of doctors appointments we had a bit of a situation last night.

I thought it would be a good idea to take the girls for their first walk together. Daddy guided S on her bike and I pushed B in the stroller. It was a good walk. I'm thinking yes, S will go down pretty easy because we've worn her out. This was not to be. S found a little green button and proceeded to put it in her nose. Yes, we caught her the first time and now we realize we should have taken it away, but we didn't. The second time she put it in her nose and when she couldn't get it out she proceeded to panic and pushed it further up. And so started our evening of a trip to Urgent Care and then to the Emergency Room. We thought Urgent Care could take care of it, but they didn't have the tools needed, because our girl had shoved the button so far up her nose they just couldn't get to it.

So off to the Emergency Room we go. Thank goodness they were not busy and we were seen to right away. After strapping her down and more screaming, a very good group of nurses and a doctor removed the button.

We had a long talk about how we don't put anything in our noses, including fingers and buttons are for shirts, pants and pj's only.

I'm tired.

Hello Lover....

Heh...I thought it was a funny title, especially if you are a Sex and the City fan. If not, you'll have no idea what I talking about. Anyway, its what I thought of when I thought about posting about my NEW CAR!!!!! (when I just typed that, the announcer from the Price is Right's voice was what I heard) I'm in a goofy mood. Which is a nice change. Things have been super hectic around here as most of you can imagine. I'm ready for some joy and lightness.

We decided that my teeny tiny Saturn was not going to cut it with two children and realized that we needed something a little bigger. Its taken us about a week to get everything ironed out, but sometime today we will be picking up my new Honda Pilot. I feel so special. I've never had a car this nice. Its such a mom car, but a cool one. According to my nephew it's cool, so I guess I'm good. Plus heh, I'm a mom and very proud of it.

Today's my Hostess Club Make and Take. I'm going to try very hard to take pictures. I always forget and realize it when everyone is leaving.

Have a great Saturday!

Wild Olive Tees

Okay....got another one for you. Check this site out. Found it over at The Pioneer Woman's blog. These ladies were guests at the Bakerella event at Pioneer Woman's house. Awesome tees! I'll definitely be getting one or maybe two after the baby arrives.
