Introducing my gal B!

Hello Everyone!

We're home...yay! I've got a very healthy girl. I'm so very thankful that all went well and we are all doing great. Thank you to everyone who said prayers and thought of us. I can not tell you how grateful I am for them. Here are a few pictures of the new family.

Another Congratulations

Here's a card my mom asked me to make for a friend that is retiring. She likes sentiments on the inside and I was able to accommodate her with the Congratulations set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I very much like the color combination on this one.

Matchboxes

Here are a couple of matchboxes that I did for the Make and Take on Saturday. The small peanut butter eggs fit perfectly in them. I love the die for the matchbox. Its really easy to put together and Patty has a wonderful solution that she got from a fellow demonstrator on how not to waste your 12 x 12 paper.

Hostess Club Make and Take

Good Morning!

Here are some pics of the Hostess Club Make and Take. And yes, I almost forgot to take pictures like usual. Thank you Emily for mentioning a camera. The ladies also made the matchbox using the new matchbox die. I'll post a picture of that later this week.

Hello Lover....

Heh...I thought it was a funny title, especially if you are a Sex and the City fan. If not, you'll have no idea what I talking about. Anyway, its what I thought of when I thought about posting about my NEW CAR!!!!! (when I just typed that, the announcer from the Price is Right's voice was what I heard) I'm in a goofy mood. Which is a nice change. Things have been super hectic around here as most of you can imagine. I'm ready for some joy and lightness.

We decided that my teeny tiny Saturn was not going to cut it with two children and realized that we needed something a little bigger. Its taken us about a week to get everything ironed out, but sometime today we will be picking up my new Honda Pilot. I feel so special. I've never had a car this nice. Its such a mom car, but a cool one. According to my nephew it's cool, so I guess I'm good. Plus heh, I'm a mom and very proud of it.

Today's my Hostess Club Make and Take. I'm going to try very hard to take pictures. I always forget and realize it when everyone is leaving.

Have a great Saturday!

Hello there....

Sorry I haven't posted in almost a week. Been kind of busy getting last minute baby things ready. Plus, I'm totally pooped. I will be missing in action for a little while after the baby arrives. So, I'm just preparing you all for the inevitable. I won't completely fall off the face of the earth, but posting to my blog is going to fall way down on my priority list. I remember all to well how tired I was with my daughter and sleep was all I wanted to do. Maybe it will be different this time....hah! Who am I kidding?!

Anyway, I do have some pics of some projects I've been working on to sell. If any of you are interested in purchasing any of them, just let me know.

Butterflies for my mom

So my mom is a fan of butterflies. She has been as long as I can remember. She really doesn't want anything anymore for her birthday except Starbucks gift cards, which I can totally understand. She does so much for me, I wanted to give her something more.

I came across this idea for a specimen shadow box in one of my card magazines. I'm very sure many of you have seen this idea before and its a great one. I thought she would love it and she did. I used my Big Shot Butterfly die to cut out the butterflies. This really could not have been an easier project. The background paper is 12x12, so no cutting there and there is no stamping on this project. The hardest thing was deciding which paper to use and what layout to do the butterflies in.

I used the DSP that is in the new Occasions Mini (available April 1). The background is the Patterns DSP in Baha Breeze.

Wild Olive Tees

Okay....got another one for you. Check this site out. Found it over at The Pioneer Woman's blog. These ladies were guests at the Bakerella event at Pioneer Woman's house. Awesome tees! I'll definitely be getting one or maybe two after the baby arrives.

For those Bakerella Fans

Pioneer Woman had Bakerella at her home earlier this week. Check out her blog for some great pics.

Happy Birthday Shane!

Today is my husband's birthday. He's old....a whole 5 months to the day older than me. He's very low maintenance when it comes to birthdays. He usually just wants to sit around. No going to the movies or out to a nice restaurant. Which I wouldn't mind at all if he wanted to, its what I like to do. So we are going to just hang out. We did celebrate on Sunday my mom's and his together. Her birthday was yesterday. So, anyway....Happy Birthday Shane! Here's the card I made him. He actually commented on how nice it was...something he does, but not with as much enthusiasm as he did this morning.

I used the retired in color River Rock (you could definitely use Kraft or Sahara Sand) with Brilliant Blue and Chocolate Chip. I also used my textured plate, large polka dot on the Brilliant Blue. Simple, but I love the color combo.

Big Sister T-shirt

I just received my gal S's big sister T-shirt today in the mail. Oh my gosh! Can you say cute!? I've been wanting to get one for her to wear at the hospital and I wasn't having any luck with the stores locally. So I turned to the web. I found this great store called Welcomebaby.com. You can customize T-shirts, onesies, bags, etc....And its not that expensive, especially when you compare them to the children boutiques. I was able to select hair color, type, eye color, skin color and what color I wanted for the name and bows....not to mention the gender. I plan on ordering a onesie for the baby after it arrives.

Good Morning Sunshine Frame

Here's a frame that I received as a Bunco prize when I subbed for my friend Jennie's Bunco last month. She did an awesome job. She used the Good Morning Sunshine DSP. She made several different ones and it was hard to choose which one I wanted.

More Sale-A-Bration Cards

I wanted to try something different last night. So I made a few cards using nothing but one color on each card. I have to say, I really like this. The Bashful Blue is my favorite. Not necessarily the color, but I like the stamp set and the layout. I'm sure I could have added more texture to the Certainly Celery card using the textured plates, but I didn't think about it until after I was finished. I'll probably make more and do that when I do. All of these cards are made with the Sale-A-Bration stamps, DSP and Ribbon Bundle with the exception of the Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon.

Card Club at Lacey's

Here are the very cute cards we made at Lacey's Card Club last night. Love 'em!

Celebrate You

Here's a card I made in celebration of all the celebrations we will be having this month. I've been wanting to make a card using these dimensions 6 5/8" x 3 3/4", well at least I think those are the dimensions. I also used the Pink Flamingo DSP...fun, fun colors. I think I might do something along these lines for the Hostess Club Make and Take. What do you think ladies?
